The art of re-gifting

You know how they say one mans trash is another mans treasure? It's so true.

I love re-gifting. There is a right and a wrong way to do it though.

Don't re-gift something to someone that a. gave it to you, b. was there when you got it, c. wouldn't like it

Do re-gift something that screams person x would love this, and I, do not.

Re-gifting can save tons of money in the long run. My husband has gotten better at buying gifts, but back in the day... there was a lot of re-gift.

Make sure your re-gift is as thoughtful as it would have been if you went to the store to pick it out, except that no money exchanged hands. It is kind of like a coupon....
